The Seasoned Designer (SD) is allegedly stirring controversy once again within the hushed confines of the fashion industry. SD is no stranger to scandal, having previously been caught engaging in unethical practices involving other creators’ garments.

Industry insiders now wonder about two things: first, how a multi-awarded designer recognized for numerous achievements could repeat such behavior; and second, why SD seems never to have learned the lesson of staying within professional boundaries. Over the years, SD has built a reputation for turning past setbacks into creative triumphs. Perhaps the pressure to maintain that reputation has led to questionable practices frowned upon by fellow professionals.

Despite these actions, SD remains a top designer in both local and international markets, which is why the latest issue is making waves along the grapevine. SD reportedly approached Fellow Designer (FD) with an offer to ghost-design for him—a proposal that raised serious questions about SD’s respect for FD. FD is hardly a novice; he has an impressive track record and a firmly established name in the crowded fashion world. Unsurprisingly, he declined.

The audacity of SD’s request—and his apparent intent to take credit for FD’s work—poses ethical concerns that cannot be ignored. The fashion industry thrives on originality, and such practices risk tarnishing the reputations of designers in the long run.

Is Super Singer (SS) choosy with her fans? On one hand, SS has been in the business for years and might feel entitled to set her own boundaries. On the other, as a performer, she is expected to treat all fans with the same courtesy—especially those who spend time and money to see her shows, many of which cater to overseas Filipinos.

Concert organizers often arrange meet-and-greet sessions with a select audience, usually at an additional cost to fans eager for a closer encounter with their idols. Allegedly, SS skipped the scheduled fan meet at her first tour stop, disappointing those who had paid and waited. Fortunately, her Reliable Co-performer (RC) stepped in, engaging warmly with the audience and softening the letdown. Some observers speculate that sheer fatigue from back-to-back performances may have kept SS from attending.

However, reports from the next concert—held in another country—tell a different story. There, SS appeared at the meet and greet and delighted fans with her presence. Still, some attendees claim that SS rarely smiles and gives off an aloof, even “suplada,” vibe when offstage.

These contrasting accounts have left her more critical followers wondering whether SS’s behavior depends on the concert location. If so, such inconsistency raises questions about her professionalism.
