EXO's Sehun discharged from the military; group now complete

K-pop boy band EXO member Sehun, 31, was discharged from the Korean military on Sept. 20. 

With this, the members of EXO are now complete as Sehun was the last member to finish his military service. 

Sehun enlisted on Dec. 21, 2023 and served as a social service worker. He completed his alternative military service in 21 months. 

On X, fans used the hashtags “#SEHUNiverseReturns #여전히세훈이편 #SEHUN #세훈” to celebrate Sehun’s discharge.

Before Sehun’s discharge, EXO surprised fans with an announcement last Sept. 8 about their comeback. 

“December, 2025 #EXO #엑소 #weareoneEXO,” according to the photo that was uploaded on EXO’s social media accounts. 

The photo carried the sentence: “When we become true one, a new world awakens.” It also had a modified version of a narration from EXO’s “Mama” music video released on April 7, 2012. 

"The day the Red Force is purified and the legends reunite into one perfect root, a new world shall open up," according to the photo. 

Last April, EXO’s Suho, D.O., Chanyeol, and Kai made an announcement during a live broadcast to mark the group’s 13th anniversary, saying, "When Sehun returns, we will have a fan meeting," Korean media outlet Newsen reported.
