House Minority Leader 4Ps Party-list Rep. Marcelino 'Nonoy" Libanan can't help but be touched and honored by President Marcos' personalized ketter to him on his birthday Saturday, Sept. 20.
"I am deeply honored and grateful to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for his warm and thoughtful birthday greetings," Libanan wrote in a Facebook post.
Referring to the President, Libanan said, "Your kind words and recognition of my humble service to our nation inspire me to continue working with greater dedication and commitment to the Filipino people."
"This gesture of goodwill and encouragement means so much, not only to me but also to my family, colleagues, and those I serve. Rest assured, Mr. President, that I will remain steadfast in my efforts to contribute to the vision of a stronger, more united, and progressive Philippines," added the 4Ps solon, whi just turned 62.
In a copy of the letter that Libanan shared, the Chief Executive hailed the veteran congressman for his dedication and hard work, which "have left a lasting impact and has driven us closer to the vision of a brighter Philippines".
"As you mark another year, may you find renewed strength, joy and fulfillment in both your personal and professional journey," President Marcos wrote.
"May the year ahead bring you continued success and good health. Know that your work is deeply valued and that your unwavering commitment to our nation is truly appreciated," added the country’s leader.
Libanan gave his heartfelt thanks and reaffirmed his "commitment to public service with renewed vigor and purpose".
"Maraming salamat po, Pangulong Bongbong Marcos (Thank you very much, President Bongbong Marcos)," the birthday celebrant further said.
