The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Friday, Sept. 19, reminded those who will join rallies and public assemblies in the city to police their ranks, observe safety measures, and opt for peaceful assemblies.
Police officials stressed that participants must strictly comply with the conditions stated in their approved permits and avoid any actions that could lead to disorder or violations of the law.
The QCPD also advised rally-goers to prioritize their health and safety by bringing drinking water, umbrellas, or rain gear, and to refrain from carrying weapons, sharp objects, or other prohibited items.
To minimize risks of theft or loss, the public was urged to remain vigilant with their personal belongings such as bags and mobile phones.
Authorities further encouraged participants to stay within the designated routes and assembly areas to help maintain smooth traffic flow and reduce the risk of accidents.
In case of emergencies, rallyists may call the 911 hotline for immediate police assistance, the QCPD added.
