Police operatives seized P1 million worth of shabu and arrested three suspects in a buy-bust operation in Taguig on Sept. 18.
The operation, conducted by the Southern Police District and Taguig police, targeted an apartelle in Barangay Ususan, Taguig.
They seized three sachets containing 150 grams of shabu valued at P1.02 million, a P1,000 bill and 49 photocopied P1,000 bills used as buy-bust money; an envelope; and a cell phone.
Police identified the suspects as alias J, 33, listed as a high value individual-pusher; Michael, 18; and Archie, 20. Michael and Archie were newly classified as high value individuals.
J will be charged for violation of Section 5 (sale of illegal drugs) while Michael and Archie will face charges under Section 11 (possession of illegal drugs) of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, Southern Police District acting district director, said, “This successful operation is a clear testament to our relentless fight against illegal drugs. We remain steadfast in protecting our communities, especially the youth, from the dangers of these substances.”
