Lee Byung-hun, Kim Go-eun, Lee Hyeri win at 34th Buil Film Awards
Lee Byung-hun and Kim Go-eun won the top acting awards at the 34th Buil Film Awards held in Busan, South Korea on Sept. 18.
The Buil Film Awards was launched in 1958 and held until 1973. It was relaunched in 2008 to uphold the tradition and prestige of Korea's first film awards.
Lee Byung-hun won best actor for the film “The Match” while Kim Go-eun won best actress for “Love in the Big City.”
"Thank you for giving me such a great award. I will continue to strive and work hard to become an actor who does his best," said Kim Go-eun.
“House of the Seasons,” starring Kang Seung-Ho, Woo Sang-Jeon, Son Sook and Cha Mi-Kyung, won best film.
Winning the best director award is Hwang Byeong-guk for “Yadang: The Snitch.”
Lee Hyeri won best new actress for “Victory” while Choi Hyun-jin took home best new actor for “When Summer Passes By.”
"I will continue to work hard to become an actress who leaves a mark on the Korean film industry,” said Hyeri, star of the hit Korean series “Reply 1988.”
