ILOILO CITY — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)
held a successful national trade fair in Iloilo featuring products across the country made by beneficiaries of the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP).

The Alunsina: Kabuhayan Convention and Bazaar was participated in by SLP beneficiaries from 18 regions at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol Grounds from Sept. 16 to 18.
The trade fair was named after Alunsina, a goddess of change and prosperity based on the Visayan mythology.
Similar to Alunsina, the trade fair showcased the values of economic empowerment and knowledge sharing.
Native products and food from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao were showcased.
DSWD Assistant Secretary for Promotive Programs Edmon Monteverde, SLP Director IV Marife Leon, and DSWD-6 Regional Director Joselito G. Estember thanked the Iloilo provincial government under Gov. Arthur “Toto” Defensor Jr. for hosting this year’s trade fair.
