Bureau of Plant Industry's barangay seed production launch set on Sept. 22
The Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI) will launch a revolutionary seed production program that will bring about change to barangays.
The launching of the “Seed Production in the Barangay Movement” will be held on Monday, Sept. 22, 8:30 a.m. at the Multipurpose Hall, Bureau of Plant Industry, Malate, Manila.
“The future of harvest is here. Together, let's plant the seeds of hope and change for a prosperous New Philippines,” the BPI said.
President Marcos had earlier said that the government is working on developing community- and university-based seed production facilities to boost the country’s food production and sustain the needs of the country’s agricultural sector.
“Through these endeavors, no farmer, no family, no community will be left behind as we strive for a future where agriculture drives growth, nourishes our people, and sustains our nation,” the President said.
