House Infrastructure Committee (infra comm) overall chairman, Bicol Saro Party-list Rep. Terry Ridon took to Facebook Thursday, Sept. 18 to react to the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee's continuation of its inquiry on the flood control projects scandal.
Ridon's post was obviously alluding to someone in the Senate hearing, but he didnt mention or tag anybody.
Instead, the lawyer-solon simply raised three points for someone he referred to as "batchmate".
These three points are: "a. Inamin na ni Henry Alcantara na kayo yung magkausap sa Viber disappearing messages, hindi nga lang tungkol sa flood control."
(A. Henry Alcantara admitted that you were the ones talking on Viber using disappearing messages, just not about flood control.)
"b. Nahanap na rin ni Sen Ping sa unprogrammed funds yung P600M projects na binabanggit ni Brice Hernandez," Ridon continued.
(Senator Ping [Lacson] has also found in the unprogrammed funds the P600 million worth of projects mentioned by Brice Hernandez.)
And third, Ridon wrote: "c. Lininaw ni Jaypee Mendoza na 2022 ang usapan ninyo ni Henry Alcantara, sakto sa panahon ng confirmation ni former DPWH Secretary Manny Bonoan."
(Jaypee Mendoza clarified that your conversation with Henry Alcantara happened in 2022, right around the time of former DPWH Secretary Manny Bonoan’s confirmation.)
As a parting shot to this unnamed batchmate, Ridon said, "Best actor yernnnn."
During the infra comm's Sept. 9 hearing on the flood control projects controversy, Hernandez showed the special joint panel a photo of a Viber conversation that allegedly implicated Senator Joel Villanueva to anomalous flood control projects.
The former Bulacan assistant district engineer said the Viber messages were pre-set to disappear within a few seconds.
Mendoza a Department of Public Works Highway (DPWH) official, confirmed the authenticity of the images and said the “Sen. Joel” mentioned in the chat referred to Villanueva.
Hernandez also linked Senator Jinggoy Estrada to the controversy.
