A conductor was killed after a fistfight between him and two other men ended up in a shooting incident inside a public utility jeepney (PUJ) terminal in Brgy. Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati City on Monday, Sept. 15.
According to the police, a heated argument ensued between the victim and a male passenger identified as alias Dustin, 19, a resident of Taguig City.
Moments later, Dustin's older brother, identified as alias Darwin, 37, arrived at the scene and defended his younger brother by attacking the victim.
The three men engaged in a fistfight before Darwin pulled out a gun and shot the victim multiple times, killing him instantly. The brothers quickly escaped from the scene.
Makati City Police OIC Col. Reycon Garduque said two eyewitnesses positively identifying Darwin as the shooter.
One of the witnesses, a 37-year-old resident of Taguig, was present at the terminal during the incident, while another witness from Barangay Katuparan, Taguig City, identified the suspect through a rouge gallery.
The police launched a follow-up operation and apprehend Darwin at a bus terminal in Calamba, Laguna. A manhunt operation was also launched against Dustin who remains at large.
Garduque said Darwin will be charged with murder.
