4 vehicles crash along Katipunan flyover, delivery van driver injured

Four vehicles collided along the southbound lane of Katipunan Flyover in Quezon City on Thursday, Sept. 18, leaving a delivery van driver trapped inside his vehicle.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said the driver was rescued by its Road Emergency Group with the help of the Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (QCDRRMO), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)–Barangay Loyola Heights, Quezon City Police District–Traffic Bureau (QCPD-TB), and the city’s Traffic Engineering Department.
The rescue teams also assisted other victims and managed the traffic situation in the area.
Authorities said the collision caused heavy traffic but was quickly cleared with the help of traffic personnel.
Details of the crash are still under investigation.
Motorists were reminded to drive cautiously, as officials stressed that quick response and coordination among agencies are vital in ensuring public safety during accidents.
