ALFREDO Eustaquio is recovering after he was shot and wounded in Zamboanga City.

ZAMBOANGA CITY -- A scion of a well-known family and vice president of a local university was shot by still unidentified gunman near his residence here on Wednesday, Sept. 17.

Police identified the victim as 33-year-old Alfredo Solis Eustaquio, vice president of Universidad de Zamboanga.

Eustaquio was leaving his house in his vehicle to go to the gym at around 6 a.m. when he was shot twice.

The suspect fled while Eustaquio managed to drive himself to the hospital.

He is confined and in stable condition.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
