Sexagenarian shot dead inside barangay hall

MALASIQUI, Pangasinan – A 61-year-old man was shot dead inside the Barangay Payar hall here on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
Police identified the victim as Sonny.
Investigation said Sonny was sleeping together with two barangay tanods, Wilfredo, 59, and Ramil, 55, when an unidentified man entered and shot the victim.
Sonny was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
The suspect fled onboard a motorcycle driven by a male companion.
Police recovered six fired .45 caliber cartridge cases and five fired bullets.
Lawmen are conducting follow-up investigation and hot-pursuit operation against the suspects.
