P9-M cocaine, shabu seized in motel buy-bust

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Cocaine and shabu valued at P9 million were seized in a buy-bust operation in a motel here on Tuesday.
The City Drug Enforcement Unit of the Zamboanga City Police Office, Regional Intelligence Unit-9, and other law enforcement agencies conducted the operation.
Recovered from a suspected drug pusher, 28, were three plastic sachets of shabu with an estimated street value of P1.02 million and three plastic sachets of cocaine worth P7.9 million.
The suspect was a high-value drug target (HVT) and was arrested on June 24, 2016. He faces drug-related charges.
The contraband now under the custody of the CDEU for proper documentation and disposition will be taken to the PDEA-9 office in Pagadian City for laboratory examination.
