BATANGAS CITY – Authorities intercepted suspected shabu valued at P272 million during an
inspection at Batangas Port here on Tuesday, Sept. 16.

The contraband was concealed inside four audio speakers unloaded from a private vehicle driven by a 30-year-old a resident of Cotabato City that had disembarked from a passenger vessel.
During inspection, authorities observed the driver’s unusual difficulty in unloading one of the speakers, prompting a K9 team to conduct paneling that yielded positive indication.
Further inspection revealed several boxes of suspected shabu concealed within the speaker enclosures.
The contraband was inventoried and secured and were transported to the PDEA headquarters in Quezon City for examination and proper disposition.
The suspect is under PDEA custody and will face charges for violating anti-drug laws.
