Free hemodialysis services now available in Malolos, Bulacan
A facility providing free hemodialysis treatment was formally inaugurated and opened in Malolos, Bulacan, on Tuesday, Sept. 16.
City Mayor Christian Natividad said the Hemodialysis Center is offered by the City Government of Malolos not only for Maloleños but for anyone in need.
Natividad also clarified that there are no hidden charges and that everything is free, including the medicines needed for treatment.
Each patient will also receive a 25-kilogram sack of rice every month until their treatment is completed.
Meanwhile, in an interview, Philip Lim, CEO of Premier101 Healthcare Management, said the center is the first in the City of Malolos and one of the largest in the province.
He added that the treatment center has 36 hemodialysis stations that can accommodate 100 patients per day, or up to 2,800 treatments per month.
The facility also employs 24 staff members, nearly half of whom are from Malolos City. The only requirement, Lim said, is PhilHealth membership.
Present at the opening ceremony were Malolos City Government department heads led by City Administrator Joel Eugenio, Councilors JV Vitug, Geli Bulaong, Troi Aldaba III, Poncho Arcega, Miel Agustin, Len Pineda, ABC President Belty Bartolome, PhilHealth Regional Director Arlan Granali, and Rev. Msgr. Pablo S. Legaspi Jr.
