LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – Police on Tuesday reported the recovery of a newborn baby abducted in a hospital here.
Police Col. Arbel Mercullo, Pangasinan Police Provincial Office chief, said it was the result of the collective action of the Pangasinan PPO, Provincial Hospital Management Service, various government agencies, and the community.
However, Mercullo said other details cannot be made public at this time due to ongoing investigation and operations against those behind the crime.
The victim, Prince Harry Pablo Carpio, who was born Wednesday, Sept. 10, was kidnapped on Sunday, Sept. 14.
Immediately after, his parents – Romeo, 42, and Rocel, 39, of Binmaley, Pangasinan – appealed for his return.
Investigation said Romeo left his wife and son in the OB-Gyne ward of the Lingayen District Hospital to pay their bills.
An alleged nurse wearing a green scrub suit entered and informed Rocel that her son would be taken for a blood test.
However, Prince was not returned and his parents learned from a nurse that no blood test was conducted on him.
