SUV hits 6 people in Muntinlupa

Six people, including a two-year-old child, were injured and hospitalized when a sports utility vehicle (SUV) hit them in Alabang, Muntinlupa.

The car accident happened at about 5 p.m. on Sept. 13 on the National Road in front of the South Park Center.

According to the police, based on CCTV footage, the south-bound SUV hit the victims who were crossing the National Road.

The police identified the injured Muntinlupa residents as Emelyn Paler, 48, of Barangay Bayanan; Jane Fernandez, 23, of Barangay Putatan; Merlia Vitug, two, of Barangay Putatan; Genoveva Espinosa, 51, of Barangay Sucat; Saly Del Mundo, 69, of Barangay Bayanan; and Walfredo Del Mundo, 71, of Barangay Bayanan. They suffered injuries in different parts of their bodies.

Paler, Fernandez, Vitug and Espinosa were taken to the Ospital ng Muntinlupa for treatment, and the two Del Mundos were treated at the Asian Hospital and Medical Center.
