'Salvage' victim found in Laguna

SAN PEDRO CITY, Laguna – A suspected ‘’salvage’’ or summary execution victim was found in Barangay San Vicente, this city, on Sunday.
The victim’s body was found lying on the ground after residents heard gunshots.
Lawmen described the victim as approximately 5'5" in height, wearing green shorts, white long-sleeved hoodie, and a brown cap.
The victim sustained a bullet wound and was temporarily staying at the house of his live-in partner's friend.
Follow-up investigation is ongoing.
Meanwhile, a 47-year-old man drowned while crossing a river in Magdalena, Laguna on Sunday.
Police identified the victim as Rene Paquite, married, from Parañaque City.
Authorities are searching for the victim.
