The Manila Police District (MPD) announced on Monday, September 15, that it will deploy 1,000 personnel to ensure public safety and maintain peace and order during the rally set on September 21 at the Luneta Park in Manila.
The mobilization comes in anticipation of large crowds expected to gather as various groups mark the anniversary of the declaration of Martial Law.
According to MPD, police officers will be stationed in and around Luneta to manage traffic, secure key areas, and respond to any untoward incidents.
The MPD also reminded rally organizers and participants to coordinate with authorities and observe guidelines for public gatherings to avoid disruptions.
Quick reaction teams, traffic enforcers, and medical units will also be on standby.
The city government of Manila had also announced its rerouting plans.
