New Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental police chiefs take over

BUTUAN CITY – The new chiefs of the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office and Misamis Oriental Police Provincial Office assumed their positions during turnover ceremonies on Friday, Sept. 12, presided over by PRO-10 Regional Director Police Brig. Gen. Rolindo M. Suguilon.
Police Col. Gerardo D. Ulanday is the new Cagayan de Oro police chief. Ulanday succeeded Police Col. Salvador N. Radam who led COCPO for over two years. Radam takes over the PRO 10-Regional Intelligence Division (RID) based in Camp Alagar, Cagayan de Oro City.
Police Col. Al M. Abanales is the new Misamis Oriental police chief. He succeeded Police Col. Wilbur M. Salaguste. The event was attended by Misamis Oriental Gov. Juliet Uy.
Suguilon congratulated the new leaderships and emphasized their critical role in sustaining peace and order in Northern Mindanao or Region 10.
“The assumption of these new leaders marks a significant step in our continuous efforts to strengthen law enforcement, enhance community engagement, and maintain public trust,” he said.
“I am confident that Ulanday and Abanales will build on the successes of their predecessors and lead with integrity, professionalism, and dedication.”
