“We are open for business and we welcome China, our largest trading partner, to partner with us in high-growth services and industries,” the ambassador said during the Philippine country forum and opening of the Philippines pavilion at the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) in Beijing on Sept. 11.
The embassy shared how the Philippines has sustained its momentum as a premier investment hub for Chinese investors during the CIFTIS and the China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) in Xiamen.
During back-to-back international trade fairs, the envoy enticed Chinese investors, innovators, and entrepreneurs to choose the Philippines as an ideal destination for future ventures.
“The Philippines is a highly resilient, globally competitive hub for services in Asia,” he said.
“We invite Chinese entrepreneurs to visit our Philippine Pavilion and explore future collaboration—combining China’s advanced technology with our service expertise. Together, we can grow inclusively, just as China has shown by transforming the historic Shougang Steel site through innovation and creativity,” the ambassador added.
Under the theme “Thrive Together: Where Paradise Fuels Progress”, the Philippine Pavillion positioned the country as a one-stop hub for profitable ventures and partnerships.

The pavilion highlighted the nation’s strengths in tourism and hospitality, digital services, health and wellness services, creative industries, and education and professional services.
At the Philippine booth, officials facilitated matchmaking meetings between Philippine and Chinese enterprises to explore investment partnerships, underscoring the country’s openness to “long-term, mutually beneficial collaboration.”
Tourism Attaché Ireneo Reyes took pride on how the Philippines can provide opportunities for resorts, leisure facilities, and sustainable tourism ventures seeing as it offers some of the world’s most awarded destinations.
“We are one of the world’s best island destinations, celebrated for its unique blend of East and West—Spanish, American, and Chinese heritage. With long-standing ties, it is the perfect setting for deeper cultural exchange, ESL development, and showcasing world-class English proficiency to Chinese friends,” he said.
For FlorCruz, the Philippines’ strong showing in both trade fairs “demonstrates consistency and resolve in the government’s push for the Philippines as a premier destination for trade and investment from China.”
The country’s promotion initiative is being pushed by the Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT)-Beijing and Philippine Trade and Investment Center-Beijing.
