DOLE's 'Handog ng Pangulo 2025' to distribute P559M aid, open 98,000 jobs

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will distribute approximately P559 million in assistance and open 98,282 employment opportunities through simultaneous job fairs and cash payouts under its “Handog ng Pangulo 2025” program on Saturday, Sept. 13.
DOLE said the initiative, held in celebration of President Marcos' birthday, underscores the government’s commitment to making decent work and sustainable livelihood accessible to Filipinos.
A total of 1,061 employers nationwide will offer 81,826 local positions and 16,456 overseas vacancies.
Applicants are advised to bring resumes, diplomas, transcripts, government clearances, and certificates of employment.
Youth employment programs will also benefit 17,238 participants.
Of these, 11,145 will receive P46.9 million under the Government Internship Program (GIP), while 6,093 students will collect P30.9 million in allowances through the Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES).
The DOLE Adjustment Measures Program will extend P54.7 million in assistance to 667 beneficiaries.
Meanwhile, 47,953 workers under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) will be provided P273.4 million for 10 days of community work.
The department will likewise distribute P152.6 million in livelihood assistance to 5,995 beneficiaries under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) to help them start small businesses and augment household income.
