Delivery rider arrested in Ilagan City for raping daughter

A delivery rider was arrested on Thursday for allegedly raping his daughter in Ilagan City, Isabela.
Police identified the suspect as Robbie, 39.
Investigation said the victim was raped in May 2023 when she was only nine.
The victim was threatened by her father if she reveals the abuse to her mother and will not be allowed to go out of their house.
The victim, now 11, mustered the courage and revealed her ordeal to her aunt who accompanied her to the police to file a complaint.
The suspect, the eighth most wanted person in the Cagayan Valley region, was apprehended on a warrant for qualified rape and qualified sexual assault issued by an  Ilagan City court. No bail has been recommended for his temporary release.
The Police Regional Office 2 assured no letup in the campaign against lawbreakers and vowed to protect women and children.
