Airbag pins truck driver to death

TIAONG, Quezon – A 28-year-old driver was pinned to death by an airbag that deployed under a truck in Barangay Lalig here before dawn on Friday.
Police identified the victim as Ron.
Investigation said Ron’s truck experienced mechanical issue with the airbag and parked on the road shoulder to fix it.
The airbag underneath the truck suddenly deployed while he was checking it. His head was trapped and he died on the spot due to severe injuries.
The local rescue team retrieved his body and follow-up investigation is ongoing.
