DAGUPAN CITY – A Korean wanted for fraud in his home country was arrested Friday morning in San Fernando City, Pampanga.
The Fugitive Search Unit-Bureau of Immigration, Field Legal Service-Regional Intelligence Division 3, San Fernando City Police Station, and Pampanga Police Provincial Office implemented Mission Order No. 2025-267 that resulted in the capture of the fugitive classified as an undesirable alien and wanted for violation of Article 347(1) of the Korean Criminal Act (Fraud).
The operation stemmed from an Interpol notice relayed to the RID 3 which prompted the issuance of a mission order and the preparation of a Target Intelligence Packet (TIP).
The suspect underwent medical examination and was turned over to San Fernando City police for temporary custody.
PRO-3 Director Police Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. lauded the successful operation.
“This operation once again demonstrates the value of accurate intelligence and strong inter-agency collaboration in bringing fugitives to justice. It is also in line with the seven focus agenda of our acting chief PNP, Police Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., particularly on strengthening law enforcement operations and sustaining public trust,” he said.
