Teen boy arrested for raping minor in Tondo

An 18-year-old teenager was arrested by the police after raping a 13-year-old Grade 8 students in Barangay 306, Palanca, Quiapo, Tondo, Manila on Sept. 9, the Manila Police District (MPD) reported.
According to the police investigation, the suspect invited the victim to accompany him at his workplace.
Upon arriving there, the suspect brought the victim to the fourth floor of his workplace and proceeded to forcefully strip the victim of her clothes and raped her.
According to the victim, the suspect acted as if nothing happened and even brought her back home where she told her mother about the abuse. This prompted the victim's mom to report the incident to the barangay.
The officials brought the suspect to the barangay hall where he was positively identified by the victim as the one who raped her, resulting in his subsequent arrest.
The MPD said the suspect was turned over to them by the barangay and charges of rape and sexual abuse are being readied against him.
