Cops hunt gunmen who shot rider in Rizal

Authorities are hunting down two motorcycle-riding gunmen who shot and injured a 42-year-old man in Barangay San Jose, Rodriguez, Rizal on Tuesday, Sept. 9.

The Rodriguez Municipal Police Station (MPS) said the incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon while the victim was riding his motorcycle toward Phase 1K2, Kasiglahan Village.

Authorities said that when the victim reached Blk. 4, Phase 1G of the village, two unidentified men on a motorcycle suddenly appeared and, for still unknown reasons, fired several shots at him in different parts of the body.

The suspects immediately fled toward Phase 1K2 Kasiglahan Village on board their motorcycle.

The victim was rushed to the Infirmary Clinic for medical treatment and is now under observation.

The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) said the suspects will be charged with frustrated murder.
