Police arrested two men for allegedly selling a fake gold bar in Bamban, Tarlac on Thursday, Sept. 11.
The Bamban Municipal Police Station conducted an entrapment operation after a victim filed a complaint.
Seized from the suspects were one fake gold bar, boodle money, and a gun with bullets.
The suspects and pieces of evidence were taken to the Bamban police station for documentation and filing of appropriate charges.
“The Tarlac Police Provincial Office remains steadfast in its campaign against fraud, scams, and all forms of criminality to ensure peace and order in the province,” said Police Col. Franklin Estoro, Tarlac police chief.
Meanwhile, police arrested two men aged 37 and 41 wanted for murder in Barangay La Paz, Umingan, Pangasinan on Thursday.
No bail was recommended for their temporary freedom.
“These arrests send a clear message that lawless elements will never be allowed to thrive in our province. We remain steadfast in our duty to protect our communities and ensure that justice is served,” said Police Col. Arbel Mercullo, Pangasinan police chief.
