A 55-year-old person with a disability (PWD), who was a former city hall employee, was shot dead by an unidentified man outside his house in Barangay San Isidro, Antipolo City, Rizal.
According to the police investigation, the victim, together with his driver and 61-year-old helper, came home from church service on Sept. 6.
As the victim was alighting from his vehicle with the help of his helper, a man wearing a raincoat suddenly approached the two and fired at them with a pistol.
The victim was hit in the neck, shoulder, and waist. His his helper was also shot in her thigh.
The assassin calmly walked away from the scene after the assault.
The victim was declared dead on arrival at the hospital, while his helper survived after undergoing operation.
The victim's family refused to comment about the incident.
Police are still conducting investigation to identify and apprehend the suspect.
