CEU Graduate School dean named new SCŌP president

Centro Escolar University (CEU) Graduate School Dean, Dr. Francis Michael P. Yambao, takes the prestigious role of president and chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Speech Communication Organization of the Philippines (SCŌP).

Dr. Yambao’s induction marks a historic homecoming of leadership to CEU after 18 years. His formal induction took place during the SCŌP General Assembly and Election, where he was officially sworn into office by broadcast journalist Ms. Mariz Umali.

Founded in 1984, SCŌP is the pioneering national organization dedicated to advancing the discipline of speech communication in the country. The last time a CEU official held its top leadership post was in 2007, when Dr. Claire Z. Manalo, then Vice President for Student Affairs, served as SCŌP President.
