'Wicked: For Good' invites Filipinos to enter 'For Good' singing competition

Director Jon M. Chu along with Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande are searching for the best Filipino duets of “For Good” in the “Awiting Wicked: For Good” competition.

In anticipation of “Wicked: For Good,” the sequel to last year’s musical phenomenon, Universal Pictures Philippines announced an open call for duos to sing their best rendition of “For Good,” to be posted on TikTok starting Sept. 15 until Oct. 5.

Three pairs of singers, chosen by Chu, Erivo, and Grande, will be announced as winners on Oct. 13.

“Awiting Wicked: For Good” has also partnered with SM to set up audition stations in select SM Malls to provide aspiring contestants the perfect environment for their entries.

The stations will be available starting Sept. 19 until Oct. 5. These are:

- SM Mall of Asia

- SM Lanang

- SM City Iloilo

- SM Seaside Cebu

“Wicked: For Good” is the final chapter of the untold story of the witches of Oz and begins with Elphaba and Glinda estranged and living with the consequences of their choices.
