The training, held at the Women’s Crisis Center, was attended by KALIPI members aged 18 to 59, allowing them to focus on learning and growth without financial burden.
Las Piñas City Mayor April Aguilar said the livelihood skills training was launched in partnership with Vice Mayor Imelda Aguilar and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
The mayor added that the program will run for the entire month of September. The first batch of participants completed their three-day training from September 4 to 6.
Another batch began training on Sept. 8 and will finish on Sept. 10, followed by groups from Sept. 11 to 13, Sept. 15 to 17, and the final batch from Sept. 18 to 20.
Aguilar emphasized that the initiative is designed to empower women to uplift their families and communities through education, skills development, and sustainable economic opportunities.
She also highlighted that the training provides women a chance to earn additional income for their families while contributing to the city’s broader livelihood programs.
