“No Filipino was hurt during the shooting incident at the bus station in Jerusalem yesterday,” the DFA’s statement on Tuesday night, Sept. 9, read.
Media reports said that six Israelis have been killed and eight others wounded by Palestinian gunmen in one of the deadliest shooting attacks in Jerusalem in the past few years.
The gunmen reportedly arrived in a vehicle and opened fire towards a bus stop at Ramot Junction.
The shooting stopped when an off-duty soldier and a civilian returned fire, killing the two terrorists on the spot.
While no armed group has claimed responsibility for the attack, Gaza-based militant group Hamas praised the attack.
