With the success of their online series, "Safe Skies Archer", Jerome Ponce and Krissha Viaje are now among Viva's more well-known talents.
Teaming up once again, this time on their first TV series, TV5's ''Para Sa Isa’t Isa,''Jerome and Krissha discuss what makes their partnership work.
"Pagdating kasi samin ni Krissha since nung 'Safe Skies Archer,' nago-good take talaga kami, kahit nung nag look and chemistry test kami tininginan kami okay naman. Hindi ko lang siguro in-expect na pang-kilig ako kaya nung kuha ko yung role nagulat ako nung dumami yung fans namin," Jerome shared.
(When Krissha and I started working together on 'Safe Skies Archer,' we were really enjoying ourselves. Even during the look and chemistry test, they saw us together and said we were a good match. I guess I just didn’t expect to fit into kilig-inducing roles, so when I got the role, I was surprised by how much our fan base grew)
Meanwhile, Krissha mentioned that having worked together really helped them in terms of gaining confidence and chemistry.
"In terms of chemistry, magandang starter na talaga yung 'Safe Skies...' kasi lahat ginawa na namin dun, so parang mas madali na for me. Dito naman sa teleserye parang naging mature na siya in a sense kailangan makita na nila na mag-asawa na kami dito kaya I must say madali yung chemistry now," Krissha said.
(When it comes to chemistry, 'Safe Skies...' was a great starting point because we went through everything there—it really helped make things easier for me. Now, in this series, he seems more mature, and since we're portraying a couple, there's a need for that deeper connection. I have to say, the chemistry feels much more natural now)
Directed by Easy Ferrer, ''Para Sa Isa’t Isa'' follows the story of Zion Magtibay (Jerome Ponce) and Erin Revina (Krissha Viaje), high school rivals who eventually fell in love and married each other.
Ten years into their marriage, a heated confrontation leads to their separation. In a desperate attempt to undo the damage, Zion makes a wish at a wishing well to turn back time. He wakes up ten years earlier, back when he hasn't met Erin yet.
An enchanting story of rediscovery and second chances, the series delivers a perfect mix of romance and fantasy that’s guaranteed to keep viewers wanting more.
''I've always been fascinated with time-traveling films, kasi para sa sakin if there's a force more powerful than love, its time. So it governs every structure in the universe; it will bend and stop you," Direk Easy shared.
Aside from Jerome and Krissha, the series will also feature Paulo Angeles as Gilbert, Kelley Day as Camille, Vandolph Quizon as Ninong Rick, Andrea Del Rosario as Dina Magtibay, and Bobby Andrews as Jorge Revina, as Erin’s stern father.
Adding more excitement are rising teen duo Xia Vigor and Filipino boy group “GAT” member Charles Law, who are marking their first major project together as "XiaLes."
"Para sa Isa't-Isa" premieres Sept. 13, 5:30 PM, on TV5.
The series will also air on Sari-Sari Channel at 8PM the same day.
