Police operatives arrested a man who is facing several cases of sex crimes in Taguig on Sept. 8.
The accused was identified as alias Gerryl, listed as the Southern Police District’s No. 5 most wanted person for September based on multiple warrants of arrest for acts of lasciviousness and qualified rape through sexual assault.
The arrest was carried out by personnel of the Warrant and Subpoena Section of the Taguig police in coordination with the Special District Intelligence Team.
Gerryle was apprehended under criminal cases for acts of lasciviousness under Article 336 of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Section 5(b) of Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act). His bail was set at P200,000 for each count.
In addition, he is also facing a case for qualified rape through sexual assault with P120,000 bail recommended for each count.
The warrants of arrest were issued by Presiding Judge Desiree Gertrude Orquiola-Moldez of the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 163.
Another set of warrants of arrest was issued against him in another case of qualified rape through sexual assault and acts of lasciviousness.
Gerryl underwent physical and medical examination at the Taguig-Pateros District Hospital. He is under police custody.
