EXO teases comeback ahead of Sehun's military discharge

K-pop idol group EXO teased their comeback to the music scene ahead of the completion of member Sehun’s military service.

A photo was uploaded on EXO’s X account at 1:26 a.m. KST (12:26 a.m. Philippine time) in Sept. 8 during the lunar eclipse.

“December, 2025 #EXO #엑소 #weareoneEXO,” according to the photo’s description.

The photo also has the sentence: “When we become true one, a new world awakens.”

It also contained a modified version of a narration from EXO’s “Mama” music video released on April 7, 2012.

"The day the Red Force is purified and the legends reunite into one perfect root, a new world shall open up," according to the photo.

Fans celebrated the announcement. On X, EXO’s post garnered 16.4 million views, more than 216,000 reposts and more than 204,000 likes as of this writing.

Sehun enlisted as a social service worker in the military in Dec. 21, 2023 and will be discharged on Sept. 20 after 21 months.
