3 hostages rescued from security guard in Caloocan

Three people were rescued after being held hostage by a security guard in Barangay Amparo, Caloocan City, on Monday, Sept. 8.
The Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS) said the incident began around 7 a.m. on Alibangbang Street and lasted for six hours before the suspect agreed to release the victims.
Police reported that the suspect injured his hand and was brought to Dr. Jose Rodriguez Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Authorities have yet to determine the motive behind the incident. 
Police withheld the identities of the suspect and the victims pending investigation.
