CEBU CITY – Two brothers were gunned down in Barangay Tanghaligue, Talibon, Bohol on Saturday night, Sept. 7.
Police said four armed men aboard a white vehicle arrived at the victims’ house.
The gunmen broke into the house and peppered the brothers, identified as Giloy, 42, and Witwit 36, with bullets.
Police said Witwit was playing mahjong while Giloy was doing welding works at the time. The victims were taken to a hospital where they were declared dead.
No one was able to identify the assailants, who fled after the attack, said Police Major Tuppal Labasbas, chief of the Talibon Municipal Police Station.
Labasbas said initial investigation showed that the victims were into the quarrying business.
He said the brothers had no known enemies in the area.
Investigators said the motive of the crime could be business-related.
