Man wanted in Batangas arrested in Pasay due to his involvement in project modus scam

A 28-year-old man involved in a project modus scam in Batangas was arrested by members of the Pasay City Police Intelligence Section on Friday, August 5.

Col. Joselito De Secto, chief of the Pasay City police, identified the suspect as Patrick, a resident of Hizon Street, Sta. Cruz, Manila. He was arrested at around 3:50 p.m. in front of the Midas Hotel located along Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City.

De Sesto said the arrest of the suspect was ordered by Judge Petronila Pitogo Tanas-Arguelles of Batangas Municipal Trial Court in Cities Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 1, with no bail recommended for the service of sentence for the crime of estafa.

He stated that the suspect was reportedly involved in convincing his victims to invest in a nonexistent project in exchange for big earnings.

The suspect was turned over to the Warrant and Subpoena Section after his arrest.
