BAGUIO CITY – A second year Bachelor of Science in Information Technology student at the University of the Cordilleras was crowned Miss Baguio 2025 during the coronation night at the Baguio Convention and Cultural Center on Saturday, Sept. 6.

Janela Andal Recio, 22, of Barangay Trancoville, bested 12 candidates. She was earlier crowned Miss University of the Cordilleras 2024 and Miss Galiacayo Camilliana 2025.

Also crowned were Mikaela Coloma Lazaro (Bakakeng SLU SVP), Miss Baguio Creative 2025; Zyra Mae Carbonell (Bakakeng Norte/Sur), Miss Baguio Kultura 2025; Precious Faith Mirasol (Brookside), Miss Baguio Kalikasan 2025, and Brynne Cessary Bayang (Middle Quirino Hill), Miss Baguio Tourism 2025 and Sangguniang Kabataan Federation Baguio Ambassador.

Winners of minor awards were Trinity Samantha Lacanlale of Barangay Dontogan, Miss Social Graces;

Brynne Cessary Bayang of Barangay Middle Quirino Hill, Darling of the Press; Precious Faith Mirasol of Barangay Brookside, Best in Creative Costume; Zyra Mae Carbonell of Barangay Bakakeng North/South, Best in Talent; Recio, Best in Swimwear; Yvonne Jill Llobrera of Barangay Pucsusan, Miss Courage, and Elisha Lare de Castro of Barangay Upper Quezon Hill, Miss Photogenic.

“The City of Baguio proudly celebrates the newly crowned Miss Baguio 2025.Janela's journey reflects the true spirit of a Baguio woman that is strong, compassionate, and inspiring. May her reign open doors to new opportunities and allow her to shine even brighter as an ambassador of culture, talent, and community," said Gladys Vergara, chairperson of the Baguio Tourism Council.
