Last call: Applications for Puregold CinePanalo's record-breaking full-length film grants close on Sept. 10

Beat the deadline! On Sept. 10, 2025, Wednesday, at 11:59 pm, the application window for the Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival full-length category officially closes. With the largest production grants in Philippine festival history up for grabs, filmmakers must seize this chance to secure their place on the country’s fast-rising cinematic stage. 

What’s at stake? A ₱5 million production grant, unmatched in Philippine film festival history. Only seven filmmakers will have the opportunity to bring their creative visions to life. 

“Funding gets you to the set, but it’s the filmmaker’s vision that creates a legacy,” says Ivy Hayagan-Piedad, Puregold senior marketing manager and festival chair. “CinePanalo is Puregold’s commitment to filmmakers ready to turn their passion into stories that transcend the festival stage.”

To bolster excitement for this year’s festival, the Puregold CinePanalo lifted all genre and style restrictions for potential applicants. For the first time, horror, crime, and fantasy flicks—and everything in between—are welcome at the festival. Filmmakers are encouraged to dream big and bring forth their very best to their presentations.

The seven selected full-length entries will join the likes of Kurt Soberano’s Under a Piaya Moon, Sigrid Bernardo’s Pushcart Tales, and TM Malones’ Salum—highly acclaimed films that made their debut at the Puregold CinePanalo. Already, the festival has acquired a reputation for excellently crafted films that captivate both local and global audiences, and this upcoming installment looks to be bigger and better than the last.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to make history with the Puregold CinePanalo. Full-length film applications must be sent totinyurl.com/PCPFFFullApp. The completed films will be screened at the Gateway Cineplex 18 from Aug. 7-18, 2026.

Meantime, student short applications for the Puregold CinePanalo Festival will be accepted until 11:59 pm on Nov. 25, 2025.
