DAGUPAN CITY – Two minors reported missing after they were swept away while crossing the Tarlac River irrigation system on Sept. 3 were rescued on Sept. 4.
The victims were identified as Jansen and Kenvin, both 13 and residents of Tarlac City.
Police said the victims were last seen crossing the Tarlac River irrigation. They were reported missing and believed to be carried away by the strong current.
Authorities launched a search and rescue operation and they were found on Sept. 4 in the afternoon.
Police urged the public, especially the youth, to be cautious and avoid crossing or playing in areas with strong water currents to prevent such incidents.
