No Filipino reported hurt in fatal funicular accident in Lisbon—DFA

There is no Filipino reported hurt in the tourist tram derailment in Lisbon which has claimed 16 lives and injured 23 others.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said this on Thursday night, Sept. 4.
"There are currently no indications of Filipino nationals involved in the tourist tram derailment in Lisbon," the DFA said.
"The Philippine Embassy in Lisbon will continue to monitor developments," the department added.
On Wednesday, a funicular car, which can hold around 40 passengers, overturned on a steep street in one of Lisbon's most popular tourist spots.
