Mayor Francis unveils PH's highest vertical housing project in San Juan
San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora hailed the construction of the country's highest Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program housing project in San Juan City on Thursday, Sept. 4.
He said the Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) led by President and CEO Federico Laxa gave the green light for the vertical housing project entitled "Makabagong San Juan Pambansang Pabahay, Phase 1."
"Ang Makabagong San Juan ay mayroong 34 na palapag at magbibigay ng ligtas, disente, at abot-kayang pabahay para sa mahigit 1,000 miyembro-benepisyaryo mula sa lungsod ng San Juan. Para sa pagpapa-unlad ng buhay ng kanilang pamilya at komunidad, magkakaroon ang gusali ng mga commercial shop, parking facility, swimming pool, at basketball court (Makabagong San Juan has 34 floors and will provide safe, decent, and affordable housing for over 1,000 member-beneficiaries from the city of San Juan. To enhance the lives of their families and communities, the building will have commercial shops, parking facilities, a swimming pool, and a basketball court)," Zamora explained.
In March, the local government, together with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) and SHFC, broke ground for the project to be built in F. Manalo Street in Barangay Batis.
The housing project will occupy a 2,624 square meter property and will have a total of 549 residential units with an average size of 28 square meters per unit.
It will also include 11 commercial units, 68 parking slots for cars, and 47 slots for motorcycles.
Aside from the Makabagong San Juan project, the SHFC also has other vertical housing projects, such as the People's Ville in Davao, Crystal Peak Estates in San Fernando, Pampanga, San Miguel de Manila Residences and Port Town in Maynila, Valley View Township in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental, Tandikan Ville in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, and Pascualer 7 and 10 in Quezon City.
