The local government said each couple received P6,000 along with free wedding cakes, rings, flowers, reception, marriage certificates, and other legal documents needed to formalize their union.
“Congratulations! May God strengthen your love as husband and wife, broaden your understanding of each other, and guide you toward a healthy, successful, and joyful married life),” Domagoso said.
The mayor noted that the mass wedding not only provided legal recognition of the couples’ unions but also symbolized the strengthening of their commitment to face the challenges of married life together.
May the Kasalang Bayan serve as an inspiration for young Manileños to uphold strong families for the generations to come),” he emphasized.
The local government said the program was made possible through the joint efforts of the City Civil Registry Office (CCRO), led by Officer in Charge (OIC) Atty. Jaime R. Tejeron III, and the Department of Tourism, Culture and Arts of Manila (DTCAM), as part of the celebration of Manila Tourism and Creative Industries Month (MTCIM).
