QC gov't urges motorists to avoid Central Avenue during Bar exams
Heavy traffic is expected in parts of Quezon City during the 2025 Bar Examinations to be held at New Era University (NEU), prompting the local government to issue a traffic advisory for motorists during the exam days.
Citing the Supreme Court’s traffic advisory, the city government said congestion is likely along Commonwealth Avenue and Visayas Avenue going into Central Avenue on September 7, 10, and 14.
The heaviest volume of traffic is anticipated from 2:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. when examinees arrive, and from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. when they exit the venue.
Authorities said ingress and egress for bar examinees will be at the NEU Main Gate, with drop-off and pick-up points for private vehicles located nearby.
To facilitate the movement of test takers, designated “Bar Lanes” will also be set up along Central Avenue.
Examinees may also ride NEU shuttles during ingress and egress hours, with pick-up points stationed at Templo Central at the corner of Commonwealth and Central Avenue.
The Quezon City Government said traffic enforcers will be deployed in the affected areas to help ease congestion, guide motorists, and examinees.
Motorists are advised to take alternate routes during the event.
