PAL: All passengers, crew of Japan-bound plane safe after emergency landing
The passengers and crew of a Japan-bound Philippine Airline (PAL) plane were all safe after an emergency landing at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
PAL said there were 191 passengers in the plane and eight crew members.
In a statement, it said PAL Airlines Flight PR 412 was heading to Kansai in Japan when it experienced a “pressurization issue”.
“In accordance with safety protocols, the flight crew initiated a descent to a lower altitude and declared an emergency as a precautionary measure,” the PAL statement read.
“The issue was subsequently resolved, and emergency protocols were downgraded,” it added.
The crew then proceeded to return to Manila, where the aircraft landed safely at around 11:20 a.m.
“All 191 passengers and eight crew members have safely disembarked. Our ground operations team is providing full assistance to affected passengers, including meals, baggage support, and rebooking arrangements for their onward travel,” PAL said.
