CHICAGO – In a move that solidifies his status as a prolific and ever-evolving artist, international sensation Nick Vera Perez has triumphantly released his sixth studio album, "Dancing in the Ocean."
The highly anticipated 12-track collection, a testament to his musical contract for 10 albums, is already captivating audiences worldwide with its relatable narratives and genre-blending beats.
NVP, known for his ability to reinvent himself with each new project, has once again delivered an album that is both deeply personal and universally resonant. Masterfully composed by his long-time musical director, Adonis Tabanda, "Dancing in the Ocean" is a cohesive, chronological exploration of the human experience, from youthful crushes to the profound bonds of family and love.
The album boasts "4AM," an R&B dance-pop track that transports listeners back to their teenage years. Its pulsing rhythm perfectly captures the sleepless, obsessive energy of a first crush, a feeling many will find achingly familiar.
Perez then transitions to the mature and powerful "The Queen," a club mix dance that serves as a modern anthem for a man's commitment to his partner. The song's message is clear: true love is about treating your "Queen" with the royalty she deserves.
In a poignant and relatable turn, "Love of Family" (a club beat mix) delves into the common theme of sibling and general people rivalry. Despite the competitive spirit, the song beautifully resolves with the powerful message that family is a bond that can never be broken.
Breaking free from societal norms is the theme of the high-intensity semi-rock dance beat, "CHAINS." This track is a defiant call to action, encouraging listeners to embrace their individuality and stand against a world that seeks to dictate who they should be. It's a powerful and liberating message about breaking stereotypes and finding strength in being different.
The album finds its emotional core in "True Home," an electronica dance beat that reminds us that love itself is our ultimate sanctuary. The song’s hypnotic rhythm and profound message create a sense of calm and belonging, reminding listeners that once love is found, we are truly at home.
Paying homage to his roots, Perez dedicates "Zamboanga" (a jazzy dance beat) to his hometown. The track is a vibrant, nostalgic journey that weaves together memories of a love story's beginning with the rich culture, scenery, and cuisine of the beautiful Philippine province.
Ever committed to nurturing new talent, Perez's latest album introduces his new protégé, the gifted HannahShayne. After rigorous training, she makes her debut on "Bagong Simula" (New Hope), an inspirational dance track that seamlessly fuses new electronic elements with hip-hop.
"Walang Iba," the album’s sole Tagalog song, is a standout for its versatility. This hustle beat allows for a multitude of dance styles, from cha-cha and ballroom swing to Zumba and disco, making it a marvelous combination for dancers of all levels.
The album also features two tracks with Amapiano influences. "Footprints" is a gospel-house track with a pop twist, featuring danceable reggae and sexy reggaeton steps. "Spinning Wheel," a similarly Amapiano-influenced song, encourages a sensual, hip-swaying dance style while delivering a message of hope and resilience in the face of life's inevitable ups and downs.
The carrier single, "Dancing in the Ocean," is a beautiful Latin pop dance hit that transports listeners to a Hawaiian paradise. This final track has been an instant hit, garnering an overwhelming number of streams and downloads since its release.
The new album is available on over 220 global online streaming platforms, including iTunes, Spotify, Deezer, Amazon Music, and Google Play, ensuring that Perez's music reaches his ever-growing legion of fans around the globe.
In addition to the album's release, Perez has a busy schedule ahead. He is set to embark on his "UnAfraid" Gospel album tour, his 5th album released 2022, kicking off on September 27th at St. Domitila Church in Illinois, with more dates scheduled from December 2025 to February 2026.
The grand launch of "Dancing in the Ocean" is slated for a red-carpet matinee theater presentation on Oct. 18, 2025, at the Hollywood Theaters in Woodridge, IL, from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Reservations taken by texting 3127095141).
