Muntinlupa LGU says PhilHealth GAMOT Program not yet implemented
The Muntinlupa City government said the PhilHealth GAMOT (Guaranteed and Accessible Medications for Outpatient Treatment) Program is not yet implemented due to app registration and training.
The PhilHealth GAMOT is the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation’s “outpatient drug benefit package which covers select medications used in the outpatient case management and shall function as the pharmaceutical service delivery arm of PhilHealth’s function as the pharmaceutical service delivery arm of PhilHealth’s outpatient benefits.”
It has an annual benefit of P20,000 for PhilHealth members.
In Muntinlupa City, health centers are accredited as YAKAP Clinics, but the GAMOT Program has not yet been implemented while registration on the GAMOT App and related training are still underway).”
Under PhilHealth Circular 2025-0013, the GAMOT App is “a software that can be interoperable with existing operating systems, used to prescribe medications, validate prescriptions, record dispensing, and monitor performance of GAMOT Facilities, as applicable.”
While the implementation of the PhilHealth GAMOT Program is pending in Muntinlupa, the CHO said residents can avail of free medicines and medical services under a regular program.
“Samantala, patuloy pa ring nakatatanggap ng libreng gamot at serbisyong medikal ang mga residente ng Muntinlupa City sa pamamagitan ng regular na programa ng lungsod habang aktibong nakikipag-ugnayan ang City Health Office sa PhilHealth upang mapabilis ang implementasyon (Meanwhile, residents of Muntinlupa City continue to receive free medicines and medical services through the city's regular program while the City Health Office is actively coordinating with PhilHealth to expedite implementation),” it said.
